Lauren Bigelow on "Home is Where the Art Is" Affordable Housing Arts Competition
Today on the show, discover how you can put your artistic talents to work in support of affordable housing in Palo Alto and communities nearby. Palo Alto Housing is hosting an arts competition for May as Affordable Housing Month in one of the most expensive housing markets on the planet. Affordable housing is a challenge here, and this new competition is designed to bring new awareness in a special way. City of Palo Alto residents, young people, and people on the waiting list for affordable housing are all eligible to participate, and Palo Alto Housing (a nonprofit organization) is also seeking art friendly panelists to help judge the competition.

Today the Palo Alto Podcast chats with Kendra Rosenberg on what's hot, what's not, and what is in the middle of change for design, remodeling and new homes in Palo Alto. Kendra grew up in Palo Alto, and her mom was a high school counselor.
She opened her own design studio last year, and she's never looked back!
Kendra Rosenberg is the principal designer of KNR Design Studio. She has over 10 years of design experience spanning luxury hotels, high-end residences, and modern and traditional houses. Kendra is passionate about creating beautiful and elegant designs that are highly functional and uniquely tailored to her clients. She is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED® Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C) and an associate member of American Institute of Architects (AIA). Kendra holds a Masters in Architecture from University of Southern California where she won multiple awards for her architectural designs.

KNR Design Studio focuses on residential architecture, including new homes, whole-house renovations, rebuilds, additions, and remodels throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Our design is driven by aesthetics, everyday-usability, and personalization. We work closely with the site and environment to design a functional, beautiful, and energy efficient house that expresses our clients' taste and personality.
Her labor of love is contributing to the Magical Bridge Playground at Mitchell Park in Palo Alto.
